Hi, I'm Deniz.
Digital Product Designer based in Berlin.
Currently, Lead Product Designer at Recare.
Previously at Gorillas (part of Getir) and Durstexpress (now Flaschenpost).

Growing up, I had a dream of becoming a marine biologist. Although my circumstances didn't allow me to pursue that path, I found a new passion in Visual Communication Design. Nature still holds a special place in my heart, but I do love my job very much.
As a product designer, I have the creative freedom and the ability to conceptualise and bring ideas to life. There's always something new to learn and new technologies to explore. Working with diverse teams is enriching, as it fosters a sense of community and it feels great to share success. And of course, witnessing the impact of my work on users' lives is the ultimate reward.
I have a passion for painting, and I'm an avid tennis player and spectator. Recently, I've been exploring the fascinating world of astronomy, and I'm amazed at the incredible sights I can see through my binoculars and small telescope.
Currently I’m working and living in Berlin.

2023 - ongoing
Lead Product Designer
Recare, Berlin
Driving the product design strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative and user-centered solutions that address the evolving needs of Recare users.
2021 - 2023
Senior / Lead Product Designer
Gorillas, Berlin
I joined Gorillas as Senior Product Designer on the Supply Chain team. Here I worked on an internal web tool which provided an overview and helped with the ordering and receiving processes of deliveries for the warehouses across all countries Gorillas has been active. The mission was to build the infrastructure for a supply chain and fulfilment process that created a stable foundation to scale and optimize the commercial business. After 7 months, I was promoted as Lead Product Designer of the Logistics Space, in which we develop all internal tools that are used in the company. I continue being an individual contributor on the Supply Chain and Darkstore Operations teams. I manage two Product Designers, one UX Researcher and one Content Designer.
2020 - 2021
User Experience Designer
Durstexpress, Berlin
At Durstexpress we were a design team of 3. As team (UX & UI) we worked on the Webshop and Consumer Apps. As sole UX Designer, I also contributed on the Warehouse products, Driver App and Business Tools products, working both on the UX topics and visual aspects. I was involved in projects from initial brainstorming meetings to the end of implementation. We didn’t have a dedicated user research specialist, so I also conducted basic user research and usability tests. Our mission was to create and modernise the tools, make them more user friendly, improve the search functionality and increase the task success rate.
2019 - 2020
User Experience Designer
Fliit, Berlin
At Fliit, I was part of a small product team and worked closely with the tech team. I worked on the UX and UI of the internal and external products. For new features we did workshops with users and gathered feedback. These workshops were followed by brainstorming, sketching and coming up with feasible ideas. We visualised these ideas via wireframes and only after having solid decisions which were approved by everyone involved, we started with high fidelity designs and sent them to development after user testing sessions. As it was a small team, I was involved directly in every phase. I also met users for user research, and reported back to the team at the office.
